Ants are insects admired for their consistency and diligence when it comes to storing food and building colonies. But in a practical setting, ants are among the biggest problems homeowners face, mainly because of the damages they bring in the house. They can weaken structures because of their ability to bite through wood, widening existing cracks, and as well take on human food. Also, ants give a painful bite on human and animal skin. Hence, if you are responsible homeowner, you will have to do all possible solutions to get rid of ants in your house.

But before proceeding to solutions, you must first know why there are ants present in your house.

Ants are insects that are attracted to the following surroundings: cold, dry places, and areas where they can extract sugar. If you observe carefully, ants thrive in tree trunks because they can extract glucose from the tree’s sap which they use for food. Likewise, they search for other sources of sugar, regardless if it is processed or raw. Sugar, as we all know, is a basic necessity in the kitchen, thus making the area a good place in building an ant colony. Now, given that your house is plagued by ants, what can you do to eliminate them from taking over your territory?
